The purpose of this Code of Tribal Ordinances is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the St. Paul Island tribal members and residents of St. Paul, to protect and promote the culture of the Aleut St. Paul people, to establish unity, and to provide an orderly framework to govern the activities within the jurisdiction of the Tribe. These ordinances are based on the customary and traditional values and laws of our people and include ordinances as needed by the present population of the Tribe.
