“Amend” means that wording is added, taken out, or changed within an existing ordinance.

“Ordinance” is a tribal law intended to establish written procedures and guidance for the St. Paul Island Tribal Government, its members regardless of where they reside, and for those persons and entities that enter into consensual relations with the Tribe or its members, or affect the health, safety, welfare, economic or political integrity of the Tribe or its members.

“Referendum” means sending an issue to the tribal members to vote on.

“Repeal” means that a whole ordinance or an entire section of an ordinance is removed. [Certificate of Adoption passed April 22nd, 2008; 2008 Code § 1.3.2]
