The people of the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island recognize that domestic violence is a serious crime. The official response to cases of domestic violence shall stress the enforcement of laws to protect the victim and shall communicate the policy of the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island that violent behavior will not be tolerated. It is also a policy of the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island to guarantee the victim of domestic violence the maximum protection from abuse which the law and those that enforce the law can provide.
