(a) Any structure or vessel where any person has sighted a rodent or rodent feces will be presumed infested with rodents. Upon confirmation of the infested structure or vessel, the TGSPI shall conduct all measures reasonably conducive to isolating the structure or vessel and containing the infestation, including but not limited to:

(1) Requiring the cessation of any use or occupancy of the infested structure.

(2) In the case of a vessel, requiring the vessel to leave the harbor and stay at least one mile away from St. Paul Island.

(b) The TGSPI shall provide a written “Notice of Rodent Infestation” of confirmation of infestation to the owner or occupant of the infested structure or vessel within twenty-four (24) hours.

(c) The owner of the infested structure or vessel may request a hearing by the TGSPI regarding the infested structure or vessel within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of a “Notice of Rodent Infestation.” Such hearing shall take place within forty-eight (48) hours of the request before the Tribal Court.

(d) The owner or occupant of the infested structure or vessel shall cover all costs associated with the isolation of the rodent infestation. [2008 Code § 7.1.8]
