(a) Absentee ballots shall be made available to tribal voters thirty (30) days prior to tribal elections, except in the case of run-off elections to break a tie vote for a Tribal Council seat.

(b) Voters may cast their votes in person at the Tribal Office. A designated staff person shall monitor the ballot box, and check off voters’ names from the list of qualified voters.

(c) All absentee ballots received shall be kept in a locked ballot box, which shall be monitored by a tribal staff member designated by the Council until the ballots are counted.

(d) Ballots may not be mailed, faxed, or taken from the office, except that one Election Judge along with an employee designated by the Tribal Council may take ballots to disabled persons who are not able to go to the polls on Election Day. No ballots may be cast after polls have closed on Election Day. [Certificate of Adoption passed April 22nd, 2008; 2008 Code § 1.7.6]
