The purpose of the Tribal Government of St. Paul Island Tribal Election Ordinance shall be to provide a fair and consistent process to conduct the elections held by the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island. The St. Paul Island Tribal Council adopts the ordinance codified in this chapter under the sovereign authority of the Tribe and under the provisions of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island. This chapter shall replace any previously adopted election ordinance or practices of the Tribe. [Certificate of Adoption passed April 22nd, 2008; 2008 Code § 1.7.1]
