(a) The Council may call a special election, by an affirmative vote of at least five Council members. Notice for special elections shall be posted for at least forty-five (45) days and contain an explanation regarding the circumstances and details of the election.

(b) Absentee ballots shall be made available at the Tribal Office thirty (30) days prior to special elections, and tribal voters who will be absent on the Election Day may vote in person at the Tribal Office.

(c) An Election Judge along with an employee designated by the Tribal Council may take absentee ballots to disabled persons who are unable to go to the polls for a special election.

(d) All ballots must be cast before the close of polling hours on Election Day. [Certificate of Adoption passed April 22nd, 2008; 2008 Code § 1.7.7]
