(a) The following is considered intellectual property of the Tribe:

(1) Traditional knowledge;

(2) Genetic material of tribal members and cultural resources;

(3) Traditional cultural expressions, including include music, art, designs, names, signs and symbols, performances, architectural forms, handicrafts, and narratives.

(b) Any person using the Tribe’s intellectual property without express written permission of the Tribal Council or in a manner inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter is in violation of this chapter and is subject to civil penalties and damages. [Res. 2010-29; 2008 Code § 7.6.4]
