The purpose of the St. Paul Island Tribal Court is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the Aleut People of St. Paul Island and the Tribe by addressing problems locally through the application of unwritten St. Paul Island Aleut cultural traditions and written tribal ordinances. This chapter establishes the St. Paul Island Tribal Court System and defines the structure of the St. Paul Island Tribal Court System. [2008 Code § 2.1.4; Res. 1999-17]
